In 2021 MICFOOD launched the Mitten Crab Export Chain — a methodical model for farming market-size crab in fresh and brackish water in Vietnam. Rather than depending on wild catch, which swings with the season, the company built planned farming areas with care logs, harvest standards and a buyer committed before the farmer stocks the pond.
Cua thương phẩm MICFOOD được nuôi trên vùng nuôi 108 hectares in Hung Yen cùng mạng lưới hộ nuôi liên kết tại hơn 10 tỉnh, thành. Cua đạt cỡ 100 – 350 g/con, harvested year-round.
Toàn bộ quá trình nuôi đi theo hướng sinh thái: thả rong thủy sinh tạo nơi trú ẩn cho cua lột xác, cho ăn thức ăn chuyên dụng CARAMICFEED theo từng giai đoạn, kết hợp thức ăn tự nhiên và hữu cơ, quan trắc nguồn nước và dùng chế phẩm sinh học để kiểm soát môi trường thay vì lạm dụng hóa chất.
