A mitten crab start-up that succeeded through technology

Mr Van, Director of Minh Phu International JSC, is one of the pioneers who brought systematic mitten crab farming to the Da River region. Starting from small pilot crops, the company gradually overcame weather risks, disease and the strict standards of export markets to build a stable mitten crab farming model.

According to the report, the decisive factor in MICFOOD's success was applying technology at every stage of the farming process — from controlling the water environment and managing seed stock to monitoring the health of the crabs throughout the season. As a result, the company has steadily mastered the technique, reduced risk and raised product quality, targeting export markets with demanding standards.

MICFOOD's start-up story was selected by Hanoi Radio and Television for its feature series on sustainable production models that apply technology in agriculture.
